1. Open a savings/checking account at United 1st, receive starter checks for a checking account. Request a VISA Debit Card. *A government issued ID is required to open your account.
2. Sign up for Direct Deposit; give employer a voided blank check or a Direct Deposit form from United 1st. If you are unsure of all your deposits, examine your last statement.
*For Social Security, SSI, or VA Compensation and Pension payments use Go Direct.
3. Change your automatic bill payments; to your new checking account OR sign up for United 1st Bill Pay to make your next months’ payments.
4. Last, close your previous account once your direct deposit and automatic payments are successfully coming to and from your United 1st checking account. *If you write checks, verify that they have all checks cleared the account you are planning to close. |
